Republicans pass rule with two Democrats
Vote was 214-211. Gluesenkamp Perez and Jared Golden flipped sides to help Republicans pass whatever this was. Two defections that just gave the majority what they needed.
Pattern's clear now: when the numbers are close and something controversial needs to move, Democrats in marginal seats bail. Not partisan loyalty, just survival math in a gerrymandered map. The result is Republicans get air cover and can point to "bipartisan" support while the actual outcome still serves their agenda.
