All four Black Republicans in the House are leaving office at the end of this year. Mike Lee's rushing to post about how the GOP "is NOT the party of Jim Crow" while that fact speaks for itself. The optics play is so transparent it hurts. You don't get to claim a party of inclusion while watching the final members of that historically irrelevant Black caucus walk out the door. This is what happens when your recruitment strategy for decades has been indifference and you suddenly remember diversity exists during an election cycle.
