Constitution's death clause: kill the VP?

When William Henry Harrison died in office in 1841, nobody knew what "the Same" meant in the succession clause. Did the VP get the office itself, or just its powers and duties? Turns out the Constitution is genuinely ambiguous enough that "the Same" could theoretically refer to "his Death". Which would mean if a president dies, constitutionally we'd have to execute the vice president. Probably not what they meant. Probably.

The Constitution's succession clause is so poorly written it could be read as requiring the VP's execution if the president dies.
