The architecture of the Obama Center is genuinely unsettling. Someone nailed it calling it "Hope and Change's Tombstone". The brutalist concrete aesthetic doesn't inspire, it chills. It's the visual equivalent of a government building designed to instill dread, which is maybe too on the nose for a presidential library that supposedly celebrates aspirational politics.
