FBI supplied the bomb, gun, and money
The government handed someone the explosives, the weapon, and the cash for Home Depot supplies, then arrested them for the plot they literally enabled. Classic entrapment dressed up as counterterrorism. Todd Blanche's statement about "stopping a terrorist attack" conveniently skips over the part where the FBI manufactured the threat in the first place.
Same playbook as the J5/J6 pipe bombs. One day they'll have to stop pretending the suspect is the dangerous actor in these scenarios.
Thanks to the great work of @FBI and our law enforcement partners, an alleged terrorist plot to attack the New York State Capitol was prevented last night. According to the complaint, the defendant swore allegiance to ISIS and planned to carry out a future deadly attack with explosives on the NY Capitol building while Senators were meeting. Thankfully, this scheme was disrupted, potentially saving many lives. This is just the latest example of federal law enforcement stopping a terrorist attack in its tracks, before the unthinkable could happen. @TheJusticeDept and our law enforcement partners will find anyone who even considers harming Americans and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.
