Iran Calls Out the Nuclear Conflation Game

Since Vance left Islamabad, the White House has been on repeat: "Iran should not have a nuclear bomb." Two things worth saying clearly: • Iran has stated, repeatedly and on record, that it is not seeking a nuclear weapon in any form. • The US is deliberately blurring the line between peaceful nuclear energy (a legal right under the NPT) and a bomb. That conflation is a trap that threatens every NPT member state. The read here: Trump used the Islamabad talks as cover, extracted what PR he could, and is now right back to threatening Iran. Diplomacy as theater. Coercion as the actual policy.
