SF's Richmond District Gets Scraps for Housing
West side condos are finally getting too expensive even for people priced out of everything else, and the response from Richmond supervisors is still basically nothing.
New units in the district don't even crack double digits. That's not a housing policy, that's a holding pattern.
NIMBYs and degrowthers are running the show and the people who can't afford a single-family home are the ones paying for it.
Condos on the West side of San Francisco (Sunset and Richmond) in small buildings were the last bargains in San Francisco real estate (because West side buyers wanted single family homes at all costs) But those are starting jump in price now too
