Netanyahu hedges bets before Trump leaves office

Netanyahu's now openly panicking about what happens when Trump isn't president anymore. He's warning Israel could lose billions in military aid if the next administration actually follows through on that thing called foreign policy. So he's scrambling to court India and Latin America as backup before the clock runs out. This is what happens when you bet your entire security strategy on one man's whims. Netanyahu didn't spend the last four years building durable alliances or earning diplomatic goodwill. He just cozied up to Trump and assumed the arrangement was permanent. Now he's got months to find alternatives because he knows how fragile this actually is.
