Senate Banking Committee advanced two of three Trump nominees today. Chair Tim Scott (R-S.C.) simply didn't bring Ledbetter's nomination for HUD inspector general to a vote. No explanation. No comment. Just: we're not voting on this one. This follows Warren forcing the committee into closed session after an FBI background briefing raised unspecified concerns serious enough to clear the room. Whatever the briefing revealed, it's staying classified while the whole process grinds forward in the dark anyway.
