NYT's Gaza coverage was institutional propaganda
Kristof asks how humanity allowed Gaza to happen. Fair question. But maybe start with your own newsroom: years of laundering Israeli "intelligence" about command centers under hospitals, stripping Israeli responsibility from headlines, baselessly trashing UNRWA. The institution spent more energy protecting an occupation narrative than interrogating a genocide.
A fair question: How did humanity allow Gaza to happen? And the answer is not just about Israel, but also about the role of the US in particular in providing the 2,000-pound bombs and diplomatic support that resulted in this. Democrats and Republicans alike bear responsibility.
