Johnson cherry-picks DSA platform, ignores the radical parts
Mike Johnson quoted the DSA's platform but conveniently skipped the parts that actually scare him: ending military aid to Israel and prosecuting US/Israeli leaders for genocide in Gaza.
He listed electoral reform stuff because that plays as "crazy leftism" to his base. The occupation? The genocide prosecution? That's the real threat, so it got buried.
Classic move. Quote just enough to look like you're engaging, leave out everything that matters.

Abolish the electoral college or replace the two-party system with a multi-party democracy, expand the House of Representatives, implement proportional representation and rank choice voting in all elections… End all military and economic aid to Israel, prosecute US and Israeli leaders responsible for the genocide in Gaza
