Hot Chicken Bill Is Exactly As Stupid As It Sounds

Fetterman introduced a bill to let SNAP recipients buy hot rotisserie chicken, specifically rotisserie chicken, because it's cheap at Costco. Not hot food broadly. Chicken. One specific hot food. Bipartisan, apparently. This is the level of policy ambition we're at. While millions of people struggle to eat, Congress is laser-focused on the rotisserie loophole.

Feed our busy and hardworking families with real food. Costco’s hot rotisserie — $4.99. We introduced a bipartisan bill to make our SNAP families’ lives a little more affordable + convenient in America. 🇺🇸 https://www.fetterman.senate.gov/fetterman-colleagues-introduce-hot-rotisserie-chicken-act/
