Lebanon can't challenge Israel by design

The Lebanese state is structurally incapable of military resistance to Israel, which is exactly the point. That setup forces Hezbollah as the only viable alternative to a collaborationist, corrupt government that rubber-stamps whatever happens. So Lebanon's best move is begging for slightly gentler strikes. A senior Lebanese official just told the Times of Israel that indiscriminate bombing is inconvenient for their disarmament plan. Meanwhile Israel ethnically cleanses the south. This is the entire game.
