Colombia just flipped its position and recognized Israel's claim to the Golan Heights, territory Syria lost to Israeli occupation in 1967 and has been under Israeli military control ever since. This is Gustavo Petro's government, supposedly the anti-American leftist, suddenly falling in line with Israel's territorial claims. The Golan isn't Israeli sovereign territory under international law. Syria never recognized the 1981 annexation. But here we are, another country bending the knee to normalize what amounts to occupation.
