Israel's Prime Minister's Office spins assault on journalist

Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine was knocked down near Abu Falah while covering settlers. Israel's PMO says the "facts remain unclear" while immediately muddying the waters: 200 Arabs and activists versus 40 Israeli youths, masked individuals on both sides, fireworks, objects thrown. Then the spin: footage shows someone knocking her down and "immediately" helping her up. Translation: we're framing this as mutual chaos so you'll stop asking why a journalist got hurt documenting settlers. The PMO warns that "disputed incidents" shouldn't "demonize" the hundreds of thousands of settlers in the occupied West Bank. Not a word about why a journalist documenting olive harvests got assaulted. Not a word about press freedom. This follows the pattern from your feed: settler violence gets de facto IDF protection while press coverage gets buried. Israel's own founding PM admitted taking Arab land. Netanyahu now denies occupation happened. The PMO's statement is the same move: reframe reality as unclear so accountability disappears.
