Dead Voter Panic Is Just Republican Voter Roll Theater

The outrage about "dead people on voter rolls" is deliberately misleading. Keeping a deceased voter marked as inactive/deceased actually blocks fraud. An active removal creates a gap where someone could re-register under that identity and vote. The inactive record is the lock, not the vulnerability. Minnesota Senate Dems voted against removal because the current system already works. That's not a scandal. That's how election security is supposed to function. "SAVE America Act" is just a name designed to make the correct policy sound like treason.

☠️ MN Senate Democrats just voted unanimously to OPPOSE removing dead people from the MN voter rolls. It’s time to pass the SAVE America Act.

The Republican "dead voters" narrative collapses on contact with how voter roll maintenance actually works, but that won't stop it from being a useful culture war prop.
