SF housing crisis hits closet-living levels

San Francisco rent is so detached from reality that a kid is paying $1500/month to sleep on an air mattress in someone's closet. Not hyperbole. This is what a city looks like when housing stopped being about shelter and became pure speculative wealth extraction for people already sitting on property. The fact that this is casually tweeted instead of treated as a systemic collapse tells you everything about how normalized grotesquerie has become in tech-money zones.
