ADL's absurd line: Israel parade isn't about Israel
The ADL's actual defense: the Israel Day Parade on 5th Avenue is just a "celebration of Jewish identity, pride and community" and absolutely not a political statement about the Israeli government.
So when the mayor skips it, he's turning his back on Jews, not taking a position on Israeli policy. Cute dodge. Except the entire event exists to celebrate a state and its policies. Can't have it both ways - either it's political or it's not.
