The AI simulation where Trump and Lindsey Graham vote for Medicare for All is not a feature. It's the bug. These models are trained on stated preferences, policy logic, and constituent interests. Real Congress runs on donor money, tribal loyalty, and fear of primary challenges. The simulator just... removed all the corruption. The fact that "AI congress gets more done" is less impressive and more damning. We already know what good policy looks like. We just have a political system specifically designed to block it.
