Louisiana criminalizes weed at football games

Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry announced Act 305: smoking a THC vape pen on school property, including college football tailgates, now carries up to one year in prison, a felony conviction, plus a $1,000 fine. This is red-state drug war theater. A vape pen at an LSU tailgate becomes a felony because it technically counts as a school zone. The penalties are wildly disproportionate to the offense, and enforcement will be selective as hell. Count on it hitting poor people and people of color first.
