Sheeran breaks down on Gaza after band walks
His entire support lineup quit when Macklemore got pulled from the bill. So last night in Philly, Sheeran went solo and opened with a statement that wasn't planned.
He called Gaza "catastrophic and unjustifiable and disproportionate." Acknowledged October 7 as "horrific," said the "systemic injustice" in the West Bank can't be ignored. Wept before playing "Castle on the Hill."
He's not a political guy. He said so. But he couldn't stay quiet anymore. That matters more than whatever tour logistics collapsed to get him there.
