Trump: "They have ranked choice, which is a crooked form of voting. It's totally dishonest. They throw everybody into a hat and somebody backstage that nobody knows picks a winner. It's ridiculous." He doesn't understand how ranked choice works and is inventing a conspiracy about it. The actual mechanics: voters rank candidates in order of preference, and if no one hits 50% on first choice, the lowest vote-getter is eliminated and their votes redistributed by voter preference. It's transparent, documented, and the opposite of secret backroom stuff. This is the standard Trump move: something challenges his control, he calls it rigged, his base accepts it without checking.
