Someone in San Diego actually argued against building new apartments because most violence against women happens in the home. Let that sit for a second. The logic here is so broken it's almost impressive: the solution to violence is fewer homes, not safer homes, better enforcement, actual support for survivors, or literally anything else. This is what happens when people will say literally anything to stop housing development.
