ADL director Greenblatt is losing it over Norman Finkelstein comparing Hen Mazzig to Goebbels and calling him a "child killer". Greenblatt's posting about "Holocaust comparisons" and "grotesque assaults" on a "Jewish advocate". The irony is suffocating. Mazzig has built a public profile defending Israeli military policy. Finkelstein is a historian who's spent decades analyzing how Holocaust memory gets weaponized in service of power. You can hate the comparison, think it's unfair or overheated. But Greenblatt framing this as a silencing tactic while Mazzig's own project is partly about drowning out Palestinian voices is its own kind of theater. The ADL spent years training cops, defending cops, and generally punching left. Now they're the ones running to Twitter to complain about mean rhetoric.
