The US and Israel dragged Iran into open war, hitting schools and water plants while Trump ran a victory lap mid-negotiation. The costs are already landing at home in record gas prices, and nobody in charge has a plan.
The Iran war stopped being hypothetical. US and Israeli strikes turned Tehran's sky black while the White House narrated operations like a Call of Duty screen. The targets tell the story: four schools in six days, a girls' school with 180 dead, and a civilian water plant Iran now promises to reciprocate against Dubai. Trump's all-caps victory lap mid-negotiation and threat to "finish" it came with zero legal framework and zero evacuation plan for stranded Americans now chartering their own flights out.
The war is really about the oil. Trump floated seizing Iran's main export island, and the pretext dropped all pretense: just take it. Striking Iranian oil drags China in, and the label sticking is "the stupidest war."
The costs landed at home. Gas had one of its biggest weekly spikes in history, CNN ran a live ticker, and California eyes $8 while Fox told the struggling to man up.
Democrats handed Trump the war. Four defectors flipped the resolution as leadership stayed silent, and Pod Save finally threatened consequences.
The propaganda got sloppy. Fox aired Ukrainian drone footage as US power and swapped footage to hide Trump's cap; the White House stole a Tropic Thunder clip. Meanwhile someone made half a million on foreknowledge of the strike, and Claude was named in the targeting.
