China locked in Afghanistan's oil sector

Afghanistan is pumping oil from five new wells in the Amu Darya basin with Chinese backing, hitting 500 cubic meters per day. This is part of a bigger play: accelerate oil production, build out refining, cut import dependence, and do it all without touching the West. China's not just investing, it's locking the Taliban into its sphere while the US watches from the sidelines. Classic move.
