California finally forces Menlo Park to build housing
Builder's remedy is actually working. California's DOJ just told a rich suburb what it's been dodging for decades: you will approve new housing.
Menlo Park is getting 665 homes (100 affordable), a school, retail, and a park. Not as a suggestion. As a requirement.
This is what happens when you stop letting wealthy enclaves block development through zoning games and actually enforce state housing law.

Still kind of amazing to watch CA DOJ tell a rich peninsula suburb in effect, "you must approve this." ⤵️ The builder's remedy has come a long way. 1/3
