CFTC ordered to bury oil market manipulation
Someone is systematically dumping oil futures contracts overnight. The CFTC, the actual agency that's supposed to police this, got told to retract their analysis of suspicious trades and backed off immediately.
Why isn't crude at $200? Because market manipulation gets a free pass. The regulator tasked with stopping this just proved it's not even interested in looking.
@chrismartenson If you could, is there a good tl;dr version of why the hell oil isn´t at $200 already? Not keeping up with the day to day any longer, but given the number of moving parts currently obfuscating the view, a better vantage point would be much appreciated. 🫣
