The German Interior Ministry classified "from the river to the sea" as potentially criminal speech. Then it funded an event promoting maps of Greater Israel that literally depict the territory "from the river to the sea", with no Palestine on them. The Jewish Agency for Israel organized the Potsdam event, the Ministry's logo was on the posters, and nobody with power in Berlin found this contradiction worth mentioning. This is what happens when governments try to criminalize Palestinian rhetoric while subsidizing the Israeli project that phrase describes.
