Commanders have compared it to the Gen Alpha "6-7" craze. Which is a perfect encapsulation of where this military is right now: being sent to war by an administration drowning in conspiracy and scandal, and the troops are doing bit humor about it. You cannot manufacture morale for a war nobody believes in.
