Media spent decades blaming Doom, GTA, Mortal Kombat for mass shootings. Brainwashing! Corruption of youth! All theater. Now we actually have the receipts on what shooters were actually playing. It's a random mess: Visual Novels, Rhythm Games, random Paradox Interactive stuff, plus some standard shooters. The correlation was always garbage. Still is. But the narrative won't die because it's useful for distraction.
