Senator John Cornyn, R-Texas, will vote against Trump's ambassador nominations for Kari Lake to Jamaica and Doug Mastriano to Slovakia. Not a lot of Republican defection on Trump picks anymore, so when it happens it's worth marking. Cornyn's the Senate minority leader's deputy. This isn't some backbencher posturing.
